I am a complete novice, are your courses suitable for me?

Yes! the classes and courses cater for all levels of ability, from beginners to the more adventurous.

I have been on an upholstery course before, and I want to learn more…

You never stop learning, our class sizes are restricted to a maximum of 5 or 6 learners, allowing time for greater one to one teaching, giving experienced learners a chance to tackle  advanced projects.

Is my project suitable?

If in doubt, just drop us an email with a  picture to [email protected] and we will be happy to help.

Is there much lifting?

No, your teacher will always be on hand to give anyone a lift should you need help.

Do you offer storage for my project?

Yes, don’t panic,we don’t expect you hump your project back and forward to every class.

Do I need any tools?

We offer the tools you need, however should you wish to bring your own, you’re more than welcome. You can also buy tools, foam and sundries through our online shop or during your class.

Can I buy fabric through you?

We only sell fabric by Annie Sloan, which is not kept in stock but can be ordered through us.

Can I bring my own fabric?

Yes! If you’re not sure how much you need just pop in, call us on 0161 637 1710 or  drop us an email to [email protected] and we will be happy to help.

How many people are on the course?

We restrict classes and courses to a maximum of 5 on our daytime, 6 on our evening and 8 learners on our weekend course. This allows for greater one on one teaching.

If I have had a change of circumstance and I can no longer attended, can I cancel or reschedule?

If you cancel in writing 14 days prior to the course starting, we can offer a full refund or reschedule you to a course later in the year.

If you cancel in writing 7 days prior to the course starting, we can offer a 50% refund or reschedule you to a course later in the year.

If you cancel in writing within 7 days of the course starting, we sadly can’t offer a refund but can happily offer to reschedule you to a course later in the year.

Can I make up lost time?

We will always try to accommodate an occasional missed day, which is beyond your control. The daytime courses are flexible so if you need to change a day, providing there is space then it’s no problem. Our evening course runs over 8 weeks so you need to make sure you can attend 6 of these 8.

Are the cost of materials included in the course fee?

At the start of  your course you will receive a starter pack, which should contain enough materials to cover most small to medium sized projects. If you need further components  you can purchase these during the class.

FAQs

After the success of becoming the only stockist of CHALK PAINT™, decorative paint by Annie Sloan in the city of Manchester and the addition of the Annie Sloan painting techniques classes alongside the increased popularity of our upholstery classes, we found ourselves overflowing our original Ministry home! We have therefore now moved premises to our brand new massive and much improved space. Just 5 minutes from our old workshop, still within a beautiful railway arch, we remain very easily accessible from city centre Manchester via car, foot or public transport and we still benefit from free parking in a car park directly outside the workshop.
